Hillcrest, Reedley, October 9, 2010

A few weeks ago we went to Hillcrest with Jon, Jolie and Ethan.  Josh and I had taken Abi there last year in December to ride the train but we hadn't gone in the Fall for their pumpkin patch.  We packed picnic lunches for all and headed down to Reedley to have some Fall fun!  If you haven't heard of Hillcrest then you are missing out.  They have a 1/4 scale real steam engine train that takes you on a 15 minute ride through their Christmas Tree farm.  They also have a few model trains on display that run on the front lawn.  During the Fall there is a pumpkin patch down the hill from the trains.  During the Christmas season you can cut your own Christmas tree and the train will take it in for for you.  Pretty cool place!
The kids had a blast riding the train, running through the forrest, playing with all the pumpkins and I think best of all they loved eating lunch while watching the model trains run.
